ATTORNEY WHITNEY JURADO
Attorney Whitney Jurado
Attorney Whitney Jurado was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. However, Whitney spent most of her pre-teen and teenage years between Michigan and California. From a young age Whitney knew that she wanted to go into the legal field which led her to attended Michigan State University where she was a graduate of the residential college, James Madison, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy. During Whitney’s time at Michigan State University she also majored in Secondary Education. Whitney spent a lot of her time at Michigan State University working with refugee children.

Prior to attending law school, she was a legal assistant and office manager at a consumer protection law firm that specialized in plaintiff side lemon law cases.

Whitney graduated from Michigan State University College of Law. Most of her experience in law school enabled her to acquire a deep passion for immigration work. During law school, Whitney was a law clerk in the Immigration Law Clinic, where she worked as counsel alongside some of the leading advocates for vulnerable immigrant populations, including abused, abandoned and neglected children and asylum seekers. In addition, she was an Immigration research assistant to one of the country’s top professors in Immigration.

When Whitney is not hard at work for her clients, she is usually spending time with her husband and their two kids. They enjoy traveling, finding new adventures, and trying new foods. In addition, Whitney enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and cheering on her favorite sports teams: The Michigan State Spartans, the Detroit Tigers and the Oakland Raiders.
